ABOUT ENCOMPASS
Encompass Electrical Estimating is a company built on family tradition and experience. Owner and Founder, Doug Purdy, is a second-generation electrician. He has had the fortune of being brought up in and around the electrician services business, which gives him a unique insight He was, literally, raised in the electrician services industry, and enjoyed it enough to enter the business himself by earning his own electrician’s license.
Doug spent his early years learning the ropes of the family business. He was involved in every facet of the electrician services industry, which includes electrical installation, vendor and supplier relationships, and electrical bidding and estimating. After honing his craft for nearly two decades, Doug was entrusted with helping to manage the overall operations of the family company.
After his father’s retirement, Doug decided to take his years of experience to the state of Florida, where he served as a Senior Project Manager for a commercial electrical contractor.

Like many industries, electrical contracting has seen a significant amount of change with the incorporation of technology. As someone who has experienced these changes, Doug created Encompass as a way to help serve electrical businesses and electrical contractors by providing electrical estimating services to any organization in the United States.
Doug oversees every step of the electrical estimating process. He brings a wide range of experiences as an estimator and project manager. Doug has completed electrical projects in Ohio, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida. From 2,000 square foot tenant build outs to a logistical warehouse. Encompass can handle it! Doug has estimated and managed millions of dollars in completed projects.
Today, Doug offers his electrical estimating services all over the United States to all electrical contractors. He is a proud United States veteran who resides with his wife in Punta Gorda, FL, and spends his time free time traveling.
